Box 3794 <br /> Turlock, California 95381 <br /> RE: Plan Check: Engineered Filter Bed <br /> 7095 East Sedan Avenue <br /> APN: 22610018, SR0082092 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received the plan check for the <br /> engineered filter bed, dated May 15, 2020, for the above noted location the following comments for your <br /> consideration. <br /> In order to complete the review the following items are to be submitted to the EHD (see contact below) in <br /> accordance with Section 7.1 of the Onsite Waste Water Treatment Standards of San Joaquin County: <br /> 1. The filter bed design plans shall include the following: <br /> a. A complete scaled plot plan of the area showing wells, structures, sanitary sewerage lines, <br /> water lines and total proposed land use. <br /> b. Total capacity of the system in gallons and organic load. Design criteria shall include a reserve <br /> capacity to accommodate a surge flow or increase in the average daily flow. <br /> c. The source of data and the data calculations showing the ability of effluent to meet discharge <br /> standards as set by the EHD. <br /> i. The potential impact of the nitrate to ground water shall be mitigated. OWTS shall utilize <br /> supplemental treatment and meet performance requirements in Section 10.9 of Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board OWTS policy (Boards Policy). <br /> d. The source of data and the data calculations for the system design (including components <br /> make and model) and any future expansion design shall be shown on the plans. <br /> e. The percolation rates of the leach field shall be calculated and figures shown on the plans. <br /> i. An expansion area equal in size to the original dispersal field shall be so designated on the <br /> plan to be utilized in the event of failure of the original dispersal field. <br /> 2.
