(APN) 157-275-02; LOCATED AT 4018 EAST MAIN STREET, IN STOCKTON
Dear Mr. Lopez:
We have reviewed your request to connect sewer service to the East Stockton Sanitary Sewer Project,
and offer the following information.
The East Stockton area was developed mostly in the 1940s and 1950s with septic tanks on small lots.
In the 1970s, a large number of the old septic systems failed because of the system's age and the
inability of small lots to support expanded leach fields. A plan was established to service the antiquated
development. In 1983, local residents voted and approved the formation of Improvement District
No. 51 and paid a bond assessment to fund the project cost.
According to our records, no bond assessments were paid for APN 157-275-02 and the parcel received
zero sewer main unit allocations.
Currently, due to limitations at the systern pump station, no additional capacity is available. if the pumps
are upgraded sometime in the future, additional capacity could be available pending an engineer's report,
which demonstrates that there is excess capacity in existing or upgraded facilities. Payment for the
engineering study and any required system upgrades are the responsibility of the party desiring to
purchase sewer capacity.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at 468-3023.
Sincerely,
MICHAEL R. CALLAHAN
Senior Civil Engineer
MRC:SS:to
SD-W023-T,
c: Thomas M.
