MILGEO AVENUE <br /> RIPON, CALIFORNIA <br /> TERRACON PROJECT NUMBER: NA207060 <br /> Our office was contacted by Ms. Joann Shipherd to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading <br /> Study (SS/NLS) for the property at 16375 E. Milgeo Avenue, Ripon, Califomia, San Joaquin <br /> County (SJC). The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree <br /> possible, San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (EHD) Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007 and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 110.05.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by EHD. A review <br /> of published soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site consists of an approximately 1.04-acre tract of land located at 16375 E. Milgeo Avenue, <br /> Ripon, California, San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 261-220-11. <br /> Based on client interviews, the site is improved with an approximately 624 square foot(SF)single <br /> bedroom residence, septic system and groundwater well. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer the site is zoned medium density residential <br /> (RL). Based on a review of the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> website, the AL zoning designation is intended to "accommodate detached single-family dwelling <br /> units, mobile homes." <br /> According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Manteca (1994), Ripon (1994) and <br /> Salida (1987) California Quadrangles, the elevation of the site is between approximately 50 and <br /> 70 to 75 feet above mean sea level with a topographic gradient generally sloping towards the <br /> northwest. <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
