Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Irerracan
Shipherd Property Ripon, California
August 25, 2020 Terracon Project No. NA207060
1.3 Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
1.3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage
Based on information provided by the owner, the existing onsite residence is currently developed
with one septic system.
1.3.2 Site Specific Permit History
Terracon searched the EHD Public Records website and the following EHD permits associated
with the site address were identified.
Table 2.
Summary of Site-Specific Permits.
Leach
Permit# Type/ Tank Size Leach Line Line Seepage Pits,
Parcel Addresses (Year) Location (Gallons) Quantity Length Sumps,Filter
Beds,Other
(Feet)
79-1074 New Well
(1979)
16375 E. Milgeo Avenue SR0078954 Septic 1 80
Repair
W P0037916 New Well --- --- --- ---
There were no septic installation permits available for the site address.
1.3.3 Discussion of On-Site Septic Tank Repair
One septic repair permit for a leach line addition was available for the site address.
1.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office reviewed
a recent aerial photograph of the property available from GoogleEarthTM. The vicinity of the site
consists of agricultural land and rural residences. The assumption was made that each
building/cluster of buildings has one septic system. Using this method, we determined there are
approximately 30 septic systems within 0.10 miles of the site.
1.3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Terracon searched the EHD Public Records website for the adjoining property septic permits. The
following table is a summary of septic permits available for the adjacent and nearby properties:
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 5
