Training was conducted in the following areas to alleviate <br /> "excessive noise". <br /> a. Revving engines at high RPM'S unnecessarily <br /> b. Clanging or banging loader buckets and other equipment <br /> unneccarily. <br /> c.Excessive speed within the plant which may create <br /> "excess noise". <br /> d. Closing doors to buildings, when possible, to contain or <br /> reduce noise. <br /> With regards to noise you heard emitting from the MRF, I can assure you <br /> our management and maintenance programs are of the highest quality. Any <br /> problems arising from the use of our equipment and/or facilities are safely cared <br /> for and corrective action is taken accordingly. <br /> II. ODORS <br /> Odors from Compost Pile(April 27,28,August 19, September 21, October <br /> 2,22.) <br /> To assist us in controlling the odors inherent with the handling of organic <br /> material we reduced a major portion of our organic processing within our facility. <br /> As you are aware we have been shipping organic material directly to other <br /> processing facilities, one of which is owned by you. <br /> To assure you we have been proactive in addressing odor concerns,I have <br /> listed below the major action steps we have taken to alleviate odors. <br /> A. Active organic pile has been removed from the plant. <br /> B. The organic grinding operation has been moved to another location. <br /> C. Incoming organic material to our facility is shipped within 48 hours to <br /> other processing facilities. <br /> D. The finished compost pile was removed recently from the plant. This <br /> was the 1000+tons you ordered per the merger agreement. <br />
