Page 1 of 1 <br /> Michael Kith [EH] <br /> From: Nagy, Michael [MNagy@wm.com] <br /> Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2011 4:01 PM <br /> To: Michael Kith [EH] <br /> Cc: Waters, Brian <br /> Subject: Lodi Transfer Station Mining Process <br /> Michael <br /> Per our phone conversation earlier today, I wanted to layout how we will be mining cardboard/OCC out of the MSW stream. <br /> First off, our no scavenging policy is still strictly enforced.The mining of OCC is directed at inbound loads that may have a higher <br /> volume of OCC.This means we will focus of our four commercial routes and one industrial route.The loads from these routes will <br /> be dumped in a separate location on the tipping floor to allow the loader operator to separate the OCC from MSW as much as <br /> possible with only the use of the loader. No floor sorting will take place. All the material that is sorted by the loader will be <br /> loaded into a roll off container and then taken to the MRF to be sorted on the sorting line. <br /> I will go into greater detail about our new technique when I see you next time.
