Per your request, plastic sheeting
will be used with soil to provide containment of the unloading area.
Per your direction, the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's office was notified of our
proposed activities on April 24, 2007. Mr, Gary Stockel indicated that his staff would not be present on-
site during the unloading, however, he requested that the contaminated solid waste be examined to the
extent feasible (limited by odor control and safety constraints)to Identify any pesticide container that could
be the source of the malathion contamination. If a container is found, the product name will be recorded
and a photo will be taken and this information will be forwarded to the Agricultural Commissioner's office.
Please contact me at 916-202-7134 if you have any questions or require further information. Thank you
for your help in this matter.
Sincerely,
Stockton Scavenger Association
Chris Kennedy
Environmental Protection Manager
Enclosure
cc: Robert McClellon, San Joaquin County Environmental Health (w/o enclosure)
Gary Stockel, San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office (w/o enclosure)
