20 November 2020 AdvancedGeo
Project No. 20-6205 An Empkyet-Owned Compony
Page 6 of 14
4.1. GROUNDWATER DESCRIPTION FOR THE GENERAL AREA
According to the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District's
Lines of Equal Depth to Groundwater Fall 2018 and the Department of Water Resources
(DWR) SGMA Data Viewer, depth to groundwater at the site is approximately 40 feet
below surface grade (bsg). Between 2011 and 2018, depth to groundwater at the site has
fluctuated between 40 and 60 feet bsg. Groundwater flow direction locally appears to be
to the west-southwest. Groundwater was not encountered in the 42-inch deep percolation
test hole advanced on 12 November 2020.
4.2. GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION IN THE AREA OF THE SITE
The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is residential with minor
agricultural land use. Potential groundwater contamination can occur from several
sources including leaking underground storage tanks, septic systems, agricultural
activities, dairies, and stormwater infiltration.
A review of the California Department of Toxics and Substance Control (DTSC)
EnviroStor Database and the Geotracker Web site did not reveal any sites of
environmental concern within a 2,000-foot radius of the subject property.
4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION
Liquid waste septic permits dating back to April 1951 indicate a domestic water well
located on the property. There are two well permits on file with EHD for the subject
property, both are for well pump replacement dated August 1980 and October 2014
(Appendix B). No additional information could be ascertained about the well. The onsite
domestic water well will provide potable water to the planned development.
The onsite water well was not sampled during this Study because there is currently no
power to the site or well.
5.0. SOIL PROFILE
An OWTS Permit was issued for the property by the EHD on 03 November 2020 to
perform a percolation test (Appendix C). On 12 November 2020, a 4-inch diameter hand
auger was utilized to advance a percolation test hole to 42 inches bsg, in the proposed
septic system disposal field area.
A plan of the specific site features including the percolation test hole locations
(i.e., structures, drives, wells, septic systems, large trees, pastures, pools, natural
drainage courses, ponds, waterways, etc.) is illustrated in Figure 2.
