11 August 2008 <br />AGE -NC Project No. 07-1569 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Appropriately sealed and labeled samples will be placed into a chilled container under ice and <br />transported under chain -of -custody procedure to a CDPH-certified laboratory; each sample container <br />will be labeled with the boring designation, time, date, and sampler's initials. <br />4.3. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br />Prior to use, all sampling tools used for sample collection will be thoroughly rinsed with clean water <br />after being washed with a solution of Alconox. All probing rods will be cleaned prior to <br />advancement at each probe boring location. <br />Probe borings will be permanently sealed to prevent vertical migration of potential contaminants. <br />Soil borings shall be abandoned by backfilling with portland cement from the total depth to surface <br />grade. <br />Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. <br />
