Hewitt Road
Linden, CA 95236
RE: Routine Inspection Conducted November 25, 2003
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Zador
This letter is to further clarify the above referenced site inspection. During the inspection
several issues were discussed. The site needs to be re-graded. There are areas that have
experienced subsidence and waste is exposed. There are a large number of tires being
stored onsite. The inspection report is attached to this letter and is directing you to submit
a plan to address the areas of non-compliance.
During the inspection you asked if the county could bring some soil to the site to help
with the re-grading. I indicated that I would see what I could find out. The county contact
for that program is Tom Casillas (ph#468-3074). I have forwarded your name and
number to him. Mr. Casillas indicated that he would not have any soil available until
spring 2004.
I have attached the contact information for a site in Merced County that will accept tires
on a per ton charge. In order to move over ten tire a one time you will need to apply for
an exemption from the requirements of a tire hauler. That exemption can be issued
through the Environmental Health Department.
If you have any questions regarding this matter you can contact me at(209)468-0332.
Donna Heran,REHS,Director
Environmental Health Department
RobertMcClellon, Supervising REHS
Environmental Health Department
Attachments
