INTRODUCTION <br /> As part of the Big Lots Hazardous Waste Management Program, <br /> s your store will receive all the required documents and components <br /> "y to begin your Hazardous Waste Management Program. This <br /> ' binder will contain information regarding the Safety Program, the <br /> ` Hazardous Waste Management Program overview, and supporting <br /> information. A separate binder designated to store required records <br /> will also be supplied. In addition to the Waste Management binders, <br /> your store will receive associate training guides which support this <br /> _ program and allow associates to familiarize themselves with the <br /> requirements. <br /> After reviewing the contents of this binder, you will be able to: <br /> - Recognize waste in your work area <br /> - Identify which waste is hazardous <br /> - Understand how to properly dispose of hazardous waste <br /> - Utilize the proper process for completing and maintaining all required documentation <br /> This program is nonnegotiable and must be followed exactly as outlined within this binder. Failure <br /> to follow these guidelines and procedures may result in disciplinary action up to, and including, <br /> termination. <br /> Actionable Items! <br /> Once all members of Store Leadership have familiarized themselves with this program, it is their <br /> responsibility to ensure ALL associates complete the Hazardous Waste Certification TBT on the POS. <br /> If you have ANY questions regarding this program, please contact your DTL to help you resolve any <br /> issues. <br /> Once associates have completed their TBT and received a score of 100% on the final quiz, they <br /> MUST call 1-888-868-8814 to complete/confirm their certification. <br /> -Associate will need to provide their store and employee ID number. <br /> STL must add the associates name to the Hazardous Waste Certification Tracker (located behind the <br /> first tab in the Program Binder). <br /> Additional copies of the Hazardous Waste Certification Tracker can be found on Online Resources <br /> using the file path listed below. <br /> Online Resources for Stores> Hazardous Waste Management Program> Hazardous Waste <br /> Certification Tracker <br /> Hazardous Waste Certification Tracker must be kept current and inside the Program Binder at <br /> all times. <br /> BIG LOTS!
