1 operations and maintenance of the Regional Wastewater Control <br /> 2 Facility. Any such reduction in costs shall be reflected in <br /> 3 proportionately reduced charges to user agencies. <br /> 4 Establishing a right to Delta Water equivalent to the <br /> 5 treated effluent total flow from the Regional Wastewater Con- <br /> 6 trol Facility. <br /> 7 Contracting for performance of elements of its respon- <br /> 8 sibility under this Agreement such as , but not limited to, <br /> 9 sludge disposal. The costs of performance under such contracts <br /> 10 shall be considered an operation and maintenance expense. <br /> 11 SECTION 9. ROLE OF COUNTY FOR COLLECTION AND DELIVERY OF <br /> 12 WASTEWATER <br /> 13 A. The County shall construct and bear the local share <br /> 14 of costs for engineering, construction, inspection and contract <br /> 15 administration for each of those certain new facilities re- <br /> 16 quired to effect a connection between the County' s existing <br /> 17 sewerage and the City ' s Regional System. Such new facilities <br /> 18 are depicted in Exhibit A and are in general described as <br /> 19 follows: <br /> 20 1. The County Hospital Complex shall be connected to the <br /> 21 Regional System with a force main terminating at a manhole <br /> 22 constructed on the existing Southern Industrial Trunk at E1 <br /> 23 Dorado Street and Walker Slough. <br /> 24 2 . As an integral part of the force main interceptor a <br /> 25 sewage pumping station, and odor and septicity control facilities, <br /> 26 will be constructed within the Hospital Complex. <br /> 27 B. For the purposes of this Agreement the designated <br /> - 11 -- <br /> c0. COUNSEL 17 <br />
