There are several paints used at the facility that
do not use that.
3) The paint needs to be tested at the point of generation-the point where the facility deems the paint a
waste. Based off of my conversation with Miguel, it sounds like the spot would be where it is scraped off by the
employees.
4) A lot of waste haulers provide a service of sampling and waste profiling. They might be able to provide this
service to you.

Thank You,
John Alaniz

From: Rob Dickens [mailto:rdickens@ufpi.com]
Sent: Monday, March 22, 2021 2:11 PM
To: Alaniz, John [EHD] <jalaniz1@sjgov.org>; Miguel Ruvalcaba Sandoval <mruvalcaba@ufpi.com>
Cc: Christopher Killeen <Christopher.Killeen@ufpi.com>; Daniel Shipman <dshipman@ufpi.com>; Michael Lewis
<Michael.Lewis@ufpi.com>; Francisco Ortiz <Francisco.Ortiz@ufpi.com>; Backus, Garrett [EHD] <gbackus@sjgov.org>
Subject: RE: UFP

CAUTION: This email is originated from outside of the organization. Thank you for the considered reply.

I am checking with our California stormwater labs to see if any of them can perform this test on our paint waste and I
suspect I will not need to make many calls.

Rob Dickens
616-365-1526

This message was sent from outside the company.
