Wilson Way , Stockton , CA 95205 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department ( EHD) has completed the review of the <br /> application for a permit to replace the direct- bury 91 spill container and 91 drop tube and shut- off valve <br /> (flapper) on the underground storage tank ( UST) system at the above noted address . The permit has <br /> been approved with the following conditions : <br /> 1 . Contact the local fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for <br /> any applicable permits and requirements . <br /> 2 . Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for approval prior to <br /> commencing work . All new addenda supersede the previous ones . <br /> 3 . Provide written notification to ust ( slgov . org to arrange the following inspection appointments <br /> ( a 48 - hour notice is required for inspection appointments ) . <br /> a . Corrosion protection : Verify corrosion protection for direct bury spill bucket prior to <br /> backfilling . <br /> b . Spill bucket test : Verify minimum 5 -gallon capacity and pass a one hour hydrostatic test ( or <br /> equivalent) . Proper drainage must also be verified . <br /> c . Overfill prevention verification : Measurement of drop tubes to verify 95 % tank volume shut <br /> off. Verification of flapper functionality . Ensure that all pertinent tank charts and <br /> calculations are available for review at the time of inspection . <br /> d . Verification that ball float (s ) , if installed , do not interfere with the installed flapper valve . <br /> e . Since concrete will be broken near the 91 tank , a secondary containment test must be <br /> performed on the 91 tank once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer' s <br /> guidelines . <br /> Please be aware that the facility cannot receive fuel in the 91 tank prior to the EHD <br /> inspection and approval . <br /> 4 . Any individual performing the work of a service technician must meet the following <br /> qualifications : <br /> a . Possess or be employed by a person who possesses one of several permissible valid , <br /> current contractor' s licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board ( may be issued <br /> to the installation company) , or a Tank Tester' s license issued to the individual by the State <br /> Water Board <br /> 1868 E .
