Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory PUBLIC NOTICE w�a.a>:aa�r�1EN April 12, 2021 Subject: Class 1 Permit Modification to update the Contingency Plan for the Explosives Waste Treatment Facility (EWTF), Explosives Waste Storage Facility (EWSF), Building 883 Container Storage Area (CSA) and the Building 829 (B829) Post -closure Facility Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Site 300 EPA ID No. CA2890090002 Dear Reader: You are receiving this notification because your name or the name of your organization is on the Department of Toxic Substances Control's (DTSC) mailing list for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Site 300. We are required by the California hazardous waste regulations to notify you when modifications are made to our Hazardous Waste Facility Permit and permit applications for the four facilities listed above. On February 25, 2021, LLNL Site 300 submitted a Class 1 permit modification request to DTSC to update the Emergency Coordinator table and facility contact information in the Contingency Plan for the four facilities listed above. LLNL Site 300 is permitted to store and treat hazardous wastes, including explosive wastes that do not include radioactive, low-level radioactive, or mixed waste. In accordance with 22 CCR, Section 66270.42(a)(1), LLNL implemented the changes on April 1, 2021, five weeks after the permit modification proposal was received by 0SC. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Site 300, located at Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, California, is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and is jointly operated by US DOE and its contractor, Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC.
