•
Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
1]
From: William Little <wlittle@advgeoenv.com>
Sent: Thursday, May 18, 2017 5:07 PM
To: Robert McClellon [EH]; Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
Cc: Young, Glenn@Cal Recycle; Sabra.Ambrose@CalRecycle.ca.gov;
Ann.Palmer@waterboards.ca.gov; Brian Millman
Subject: RE: 17100 Murphy Parkway
Attachments: PNA PCLU - Boring and Trenching Logs Waste Area.pdf
Mr. Robert McClellon:
In response to the emails sent following the review of the draft Post Closure Land Use plan at 17100
Murphy Parkway, AGE includes the attached maps, logs and data sheets, as support to the findings
of the site investigation. Our evaluation of site conditions in the area of concern are presented with
the Iso-pac map of the waste handling area with an estimated 1,500 yards of glass (-/+) covered by
10,000 yards of clean soils (estimated by trenches T1 to T23). The glass handling area and the
potential building footprint are presented.
You requested some form of demonstration for the post construction layout. All site work designs are
not yet developed nor has the scope be completely finalized. Drainage and sewer, fresh water /
landscape piping, along with lighting or electrical conduits will need to be installed in shallow
trenches, on the site in the area of parking or paved travel lanes. New language for the soil
management and waste burial will be added the language of the plan.
The evaluation potential for soil -vapor issues or soil -gas (methane) generation from the off-site waste
and the collection of methane under the proposed building should be adequately understood based
on the samples collected under the build site, particularly as the distance of the buried waste (metal
and glass) on the other property is over 350 feet to 400 feet west of the only structure proposed.
If this off-site consideration or element is now a new requirement of the project review, please clarify
the route to the authority on which party is responsible / has this requirement.
Please call to discuss any questions.
Thank you
AdvancedGea
Environmental
.,
M EmjoroyreoNr cvy
William R.
