Violation 118 resolved.
Empty hazardous materials totes removed from the site. Violation 406 resolved.
Violations not resolved:
103 - Hazardous waste determination information not received for"non-haz wet scrubber solids"
104- 2018 source reduction plan needed since the facility generated greater than 12,000 kg
hazardous waste in 2018 calendar year. I need to receive a copy of the plan.
206- DTE is not eligible to use consolidated manifesting when the site is a LQG but generator status
can change calendar month to month between SQG and LQG. The facility was a large quantity
generator(LQG) in April, May, October 2018; April, May 2019 and April,June 2020. Consolidated
manifesting was incorrectly used for used oil and parts washer hazardous waste in these months.
DTE needs to describe how they will avoid using consolidated manifesting during the months the
facility is a LQG, in the future.
503 - Used oil tank needs painting and anchoring as recommended by the certifying engineer. Work
is scheduled for April, 2021.
507- Daily tank inspections not being documented. Tank inspection records not received for the
past few months and must include documentation that the required elements are being inspected.
Garrett Backus, Ld.
