The original generator would ei ablee fort®illegal <br />disposal, and could be prosecuted under Health and Safety Code, <br />Chapter 6 e 5, Article 8 • <br />Aidentifiable generator may be <br />requested to pick up any illegally disposed waste totaling less <br />than 50 pounds/5 gallons: -Wastes totaling <br />pounds/5 gallons must''be manifested and transported reater h by 5a <br />registered hauler. <br />Hazardous waste cleanup operations and household hazardous waste <br />collection programs conducted by state or local agencies or their <br />contractors are exempt from hazardous waste generator fees by <br />Health and Safety Code Section 25147.7. <br />No fees <br />Will be assessed because loadchecking is intended ®forwaste household <br />hazardous waste collection programs and cleanup of illegal <br />disposal. <br />Loadchecking programs conducted by privately owned and operated <br />companies are not exempted from fees, but should not come within <br />the hazardous waste fees universe if the following procedures are <br />followed: <br />o loadchecking programs effectively screen hazardous waste <br />from commercial sources, and contaminated loads are <br />refused. Hazardous wastes found after acceptance could <br />total up to 500 pounds per year without any hazardous <br />waste fees being assessed.
