M
City of Tracy Solid Waste Customers
October 23, 1990
Page 2
Tracy Disposal Service has also experienced increasing expenses
associated with operating a waste disposal service. These
expenses include insurance, gas, labor and equipment. The City
subsequently granted Tracy Disposal a 12 percent increase for the
garbage disposal portion of disposal fees. This was the first
increase granted to Tracy Disposal since 1986.
The City of Tracy had conducted surveys with other nearby
communities to provide an analysis of Tracy' s new fees. The
review shows that Tracy' s fees are reasonable (neither the highest
or lowest) when compared with these other communities. Copies of
these surveys for both commercial and residential solid waste fees
are available from Bill Benner, the City' s Solid Waste
Coordinator.
If you have any questions or comments, please call Mr. Benner at
836-2670.
KT: BB: gs
s04-1023. 90
