The annual average precipitation at the Stockton
Fire Station No. 4 is approximately 15.67 inches per year.
Local 1-lydrosiratiraplzY
Review of a subsurface log for a previously installed groundwater monitoring well on the property
located approximately 700 feet east of the Site indicated the following shallow hydrostratigraphy
(Reference 2).
® 0 to 4,5 feet below ground surface (bgs) — Gray -brown, moist, loose to medium dense,
fine-grained silty sand
• 4.5 to 13 feet bgs — Olive -gray moist to saturated, stiff silty clay with some sand
• 13 to 17 feet bgs -- Olive -gray, saturated, medium dense, very fine to fine-grained silty sand
with some clay
+ 17 to 21.5 feet bgs (maximum depth explored.) — Gray -brown, saturated, dense, fine- -to
medium -grained, well -graded sand with trace silt
• Groundwater occurs at approximately 6 feet bgs
Groundwater ..Qual it
According to the USGS Bulletin 118, California Groundwater (2006), groundwater quality in the
Eastern San Joaquin Sub -basin (5-22.01) in the Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin that includes the
site vicinity is characterized as calcium -magnesium bicarbonate or calcium -sodium bicarbonate
types. Large areas of chloride type water occur along the western margin of the subbasin inclusive
of the Site and along the San .Joaquin River.
PLANNED FIELD ACTIVITIES
The following paragraphs describe the Workplan field activities,
Well -Radius Search
ENGEO will conduct an area well survey targeted at identifying existing groundwater wells (types
of wells, approximate completion lanes, estimated pumping usage) within a %-mile radius of the
Site, This activity assumes that ENGEO is able to identify and obtain previous reports that were
prepared for others. While California Department of Water Resources Well Completion Logs can
be made available if a regulatory agency states the need to have access to confidential data, the
proposed green waste composting facility does not appear to campaign for such need.
