A permit will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental Management Division
for the GeoprobcTM sampling acid Underground Service Alert will be properly notified.
2, Three OeoprobeiM samples will be collected at shallow depth in the first -encountered
groundwater at the locations shown on attached Figure l in lieu of collecting a sample from the
domestic well located on the Site.
3. ENGEO expects the piezometric surface of the first -encountered groundwater to be
approximately 6 to 8 feet below the ground surface (bgs), but thatt silty sand and sand layers that
occur locally at depths below I0 feet are the primary transmissive units for the first -encountered
groundwater occurrence. Therefore, the depth -discrete groundwater samples will be collected at
between S and 20 feet deep at each location utilizing the GeoprobeTM Screen Point
15 Groundwater Sampler, having a 41 -inch retractable stainless steel screen, depending on
where groundwater can be extracted. The sampler will be advanced to approximately 12 feet
bgs and retracted to expose the stainless steel screen to the formation. If insufficient
groundwater is present at 12 feet bgs, the sampler will be re -driven to 16 feet bgs and the
process repeated, or re -driven to 20 feet bgs if needed.
