Benjamin Escotto [EH]
From: Benjamin Escotto [EH]
Sent: Monday,August 17, 2015 2:47 PM
To: 'Payan, Michael@CalRecycle'
Cc: Karl, Christine@CalRecycle; Gebrehawariat,Tadese@CalRecycle; Robert McClellon [EH]
Subject: RE: Harvest Lathrop (39-AA-0051)
Hello Michael,
The operator has taken steps to the remediate the litter violation. The screener, which was the source of the litter, was
moved away from the perimeter fence as instructed. The operator was also instructed to have all the offsite litter
cleaned up. However a significant amount of litter on the eastern adjacent property still remains. During my last
inspection, I observed an employee on the eastern adjacent property picking up litter, but there was still a substantial
amount there. So the operator is taking steps to correct the violation, but is moving very slowly about it. Perhaps the
notice of intent letter will help expedite the cleanup.
Let me know if you need any more information.
Ben Escotto, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
