Inspection Report Comments:
Notes:
1.) Fly population on site was light
2.) A light amount of track -out was observed on Frewert Rd. Facility has contracted a street sweeper to sweep Frewert
Rd. and the paved interior of the facility 3 times a week.
3.) Temperature range of the windrows was between 155F and 166F. Temperature range of the green waste piles was
between 84F and 133F. Temperature range of the ground waste was between 148F and 160F. Temperature range of
finished compost was between 96F and 100F. Temperature range of finished product was between 105F and 118F.
Temperature of overs pile was 168F.
4.) Facility records were available for review. Log temperatures of all piles of material on site.
5.) Signs along perimeter fence which label each pile and windrow were not posted during this inspection. Without the
signs being posted it is difficult to determine each piles corresponding temperatures on facility's temperature log. Re -label
windrows.
6.) Results for compost sample submitted on 3/10/2017 were in compliance with state standards.
7.) No litter was observed in adjacent fields.
8.) Facility has posted signs on the opposite side of Frewert Rd. instructing trucks to not park in this area.
9.) Previously, the term "prescreened material" was used to define compost which had completed the composting and
curing process and was awaiting screening to be sold as product. This material will now be referred to as "finished
compost." Compost which has been screened and is ready for sale will be referred to as "finished product."
10.) Perimeter roads were accessible during this inspection. The site had a significant decrease in ponding since the
previous inspection.
11.) Odors on site were light.
SMN9E®
CalRecycle Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) 2 of 2
