She said she is not LINDSAY <br /> the tenant but a friend. She said CPS went out on 1/12 and observed the rodents <br /> and children. She said the tenant will be hesitant to let me in. I discussed how I am <br /> going to see the alleged violation, contact the owner and get violations corrected <br /> so they don't have to live with rodents. She said they should be home on Tuesday <br /> 1/19. 1 will conduct complaint investigation then. <br /> 01/19/2021 Reviewed complaint, printed parcel viewers and checked permits plus. No new LINDSAY <br /> permits at this time <br /> 01/19/2021 Complaint Investigation. LINDSAY <br /> Drove up to property and tenant was leaving the duplex. Introduced myself and <br /> informed her of alleged complaint. We walked into 3435 side of the duplex. Duplex <br /> side was not clean, bathroom had a huge wall near bottom of the toilet where she <br /> states rodents are coming in, she opened the door where the water heater is and I <br /> observed rodent droppings and she said two rodents were crawling back up to the <br /> ceiling. She then showed me the wall heater which needed repair and had <br /> exposed wiring. Tenant stated that when they were put the wires together they <br /> would just smell gas so they do not turn it on. Then we went to the kitchen which <br /> the cabinets were missing and I observed a mouse run across the floor and under <br /> the kitchen cabinet. Walked outside to see the backyard and observed a couch <br /> and trash. Informed tenant I would speak with the owner about the rodent <br /> infestation and heat situation. <br /> 01/21/2021 Recommend to abate complaint as active housing case see active case LINDSAY <br /> PR0544370.
