Absorbent was placed on the spill area for containment. The spill is going <br /> to be cleaned up by PG&E. A sample of the transformer oil is going to be taken by PG&E to test for PCBs. No storm drains <br /> were observed affected by the release. <br /> VIOLATIONS: <br /> Discharge of any waste, including sewage <br /> (CA Health and Safety Code 5411) <br /> Discharge of waste or sewage to water or within 150 ft. of waterway <br /> (SJC Ordinance Code Sections 9-1125.3, 9-1125.4) <br /> Improper disposal of a hazardous waste <br /> (CA Health and Safety Code 25189.5) <br /> El Permitting or Maintaining a Nuisance <br /> (SJC Ordinance Code Section 8-5100) <br /> Other Violation <br /> ORRECTIVE ACTIONS/ORDER: <br /> • Investigate and abate contamination under the oversite of the appropriate lead agency. <br /> Immediately. <br /> Submit copies of hazardous waste manifests/disposal records to the EHD. <br /> Submit final disposal records and analytical results to the EHD. <br /> El Other Correction <br /> COST RECOVERY: All EHD time associated with this Spill Response is billed to the responsible party at the current hourly <br /> rate.
