Left with <br /> no financial room to maneuver, adding on the cost of retrofitting dairy lagoons would prove impossible for most <br /> operations.The negative margins resulting are evidence of how much more economically fragile dairy <br /> operations would be if the costs of retrofitting lagoons were to be imposed on them. In no analyzed scenarios <br /> were dairies profitable with the added costs.
