E.,F—I Lum
All boreholes will be backfilled with neat Portland cement and restored to match the surrounding
surface at the conclusion of sampling activities.
Analytical Program
Soil and groundwater samples will be labeled, sealed in zip-closure bags, stored on ice in an
insulated container, and delivered to a fixed-base, California-certified analytical laboratory under
chain-of-custody documentation.
Soil samples from the ten borings (a total of 20 samples [two per boring]) will be analyzed for
the following:
• California Assessment Manual 17 Metals (CAM17) by United States Environmental Protection
Agency (USEPA) Method 6010/6020;
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, diesel, and motor oil (TPH-g/d/mo) by USEPA
Method 8015;
• pH by USEPA Method 9040/9045; and
• VOCs by USEPA Method 8260B.
Groundwater samples will be analyzed for the following:
• TPH-g/d/mo by USEPA Method 8015;
• VOCs by USEPA Method 82608; and
• CAM17 by USEPA Method 200.8 (dissolved).
Investigation-Derived Waste (IDW)
IDW including soil cuttings and decontamination rinse water will be contained at the site in
sealed, labeled container (likely a 55-gallon drum). IDW will be temporarily stored on site
pending receipt of soil sample results, then disposed at an appropriate disposal facility based on
characterization results and acceptance disposal profiling.
