According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (www.sjmap.org), the Site is zoned
-G, General Industrial. This zoning designation "provides for a wide range of
manufacturing, distribution and storage uses which have moderate to high nuisance
characteristics such as noise, heat, glare, odor, and vibration, and which require
segregation from other land uses, and/or may require outside storage areas" (San
Joaquin County Community Development Department).
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
Two septic systems are currently located on the Site (Plate 2).
Proposed Septic System
No new septic system construction is planned unless required by the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department as a result of the proposed improvements to
the property.
On-Site Septic Permit History
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were
searched for the Site address. Nine septic permits were identified..
• September 1955 permit for addition to septic system at labor camp. A 125-foot
leach line was added to the existing system.
• September 1967 permit for permit for new commercial septic system. The
system utilized a 2,000-gallon septic tank, three 75-foot leach lines, and three 4-
by 8- by 10-foot sumps.
• November 1972 permit for new commercial septic system at produce packing
shed. The system utilized a 1,200-gallon septic tank, a 100-foot leach line, and a
sump. This appears to be a replacement for the system discussed in the
previous permit, which appears to have been re-plumbed to a fresh water settling
tank.
• April 1981 permit for two 33-inch diameter by 25-foot deep drains with 18-inch
catchbasins.
• July 1986 permit for new septic system at equipment storage building. The
system utilized a 1,200-gallon septic tank and two 50-foot leach lines.
• May 1991 permit for addition to existing septic system at packing shed. Two 60-
inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pits were added to the existing system.
LOGE 20-60 Page 2
