As noted during the
previous three quarters, samples from monitoring well MW-5 have detected volatile organic compounds
(VOCs). Additionally, increasing trends for monitoring well MW-5 are noted for electrical conductivity,
TDS, and chloride. A decreasing trend is indicated for pH.
We have scheduled a meeting to discuss the issue of volatile organic compounds in the shallow
groundwater and need for additional monitoring of the deeper aquifer.
You also indicated that the well recovery times were not noted by your consultant this quarter and that
you will discuss this issue with them. I have attached a copy of the Monitoring Report Compliance
Checklist that will be included in the case file for Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill.
If you have any questions or comments regarding my review, please call me at my new telephone
extension, (916) 255-3137.
WENDY W.
