i <br /> The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill is located on Corral Hollow Road approximately 5 miles <br /> south of Tracy, California(Figure 1). The site is a Class III landfill which stopped accepting <br /> waste in May, 1995. In accordance with closure regulations, a network of seven perimeter gas <br /> monitoring wells was installed by SCS Engineers (Figure 2). <br /> The seven wells were monitored for methane on January 30, 1997. The results of the monitoring <br /> are shown on the table below. The County used a GasTech Landfill Monitor because our Landtec <br /> GEM 500 landfill gas monitor was sent in for repairs. The Landfill Monitor was calibrated prior <br /> to monitoring using gas with 50% methane. <br /> 1 <br />
