Floors shall have a hard, nonabsorbent surface, such as Portland cement <br /> concrete, ceramic tile or other approved material, which extends upwards onto <br /> the wall at least 5 inches (127 mm) with a coved base. Floors which may be <br /> walked on by a wet bather shall be slip resistant. Floors shall be sloped not less <br /> than 1/4 inch (6.4mm) per foot to floor drains or other approved surface water <br /> disposal areas. Carpeting and other similar artificial floor covering shall not be <br /> permitted on shower and toilet room floors. <br /> 9. A means to limit the hot water to 110°F (610C) maximum shall be provided to <br /> prevent scalding. This temperature limit control shall not be adjustable by the <br /> bather. <br /> Any item(s) inadvertently overlooked on the plan check may be cause for reconstruction at the <br /> pool.
