All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #2 Pool Enclosure OBSERVATIONS:One of the post is rusted on the east part of the fence. Repair within a week. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following:a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a 4-Inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective perpendicularheightof 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm.
