PHS/EHD has the following comments for
your consideration.
Groundwater continues to be contaminated both upgradient and downgradient from the
former underground storage tanks. Please evaluate remedial alternatives to address soil
and groundwater contamination. Residual soil contamination continues to be a source of
contamination to groundwater.
As requested in the PHS/EHD letter dated February 12, 1992, submit a work plan for
additional soil and groundwater investigation, by May 29, 1992. Additional investigation
is necessary to establish the boundaries of contamination.
If you have any questions or to schedule a site inspection of the next quarterly sampling
event, please contact Mary Meays, REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
LAC/MM:Ib
c: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
c: Al Hoslett, Wilson, Hoslett and Whitridge
c: John Lane, RESNA
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
