Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
December 30, 2005
RE: Static Water Level Monitoring of Wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-4 November 30
to December 05, 2005 - Assessment of Hydraulic Continuity/ Salutary Seal
Hydraulic Integrity of Thornton Municipal Supply Well No. 2 With Respect to
the Aquifer Shallower Than 30 Feet. - Former Donna Gardner Property,
26056/26080 North Thornton Road, Thornton, CA.
Dear Mr. Knoll;
This report on the monitoring and assessment of water levels in monitoring wells MW-1,
MW-2, and MW-4 at the former Donna Gardner Property, located at 26056/26080 North
Thornton Road in Thornton between Wednesday, November 30 and Monday, December
05, 2005 is submitted by H2 OGEOL on behalf of R. B. Construction, Inc. The site
location is shown on Figure 1. Diagrammatic site area features and former features and
the locations of the monitoring wells as shown on previous consultants' reports are
shown in Figure 2.
This effort had been included as a task in the "Work Plan to Further Define the Lateral
and Vertical Extent of Contamination and Access the Risk to Thornton Municipal Well
No. 2 - Former Donna Gardner Property, 26056/26080 North Thornton Road, Thornton,
CA." submitted on November 29, 2005.
The depth to water in each monitoring well was manually measured prior to placing
submersible pressure transducers in the selected monitoring wells on October 30, 2005
between 11:02 and 11:07 hours. Manual water level measurements were again made
between 14:23 and 14:29 on December 05, 2005 immediately prior removal of the
transducers.
Depths to water were measured to +/- 0.01 feet using a Solinst Model water level meter.
The depths to water were converted to potentiometric surface elevation by subtracting the
measured depths to water from the casing top elevations reported in the September 29,
2003 groundwater monitoring report submitted by Environmental Restoration Services.
Previous water level measurements have been included in the Fourth Quarter 2005 (and
previous) Groundwater Monitoring Report.
P.
