OBSERVATION: This business has an inactive hazardous waste ID number in the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)database. The inactive number is CAL000296516. REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Identification (ID) Number. A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per month, less than 1 kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non-RCRA hazardous waste. ID numbers are unique to a business and site location. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ to reactivate your ID number . Immediately reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. This is a repeat violation, Class Il. 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days (90 days acute/extremely). OBSERVATION: The following hazardous waste containers were found on-site with an accumulation start date of greater than 180 days or no accumulation start date: A 55 gallon black steel drum of hazardous waste solid was observed inside back of the building north side in the storage area with missing/illegible accumulation start date. No disposal records were found on site. According to Mr. Rick Grewal, the site has not had any hazardous waste disposal in the past ten months. REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66262.34. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 180 days in compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Provide a corrective action statement and a copy of the disposal records to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. This is a Class II violation.
