Test regularly or monitor continuously <br /> READ THIS ENTIRE MANUAL FRONT TO BACK BEFORE <br /> BEGINNING ANY PART OF THIS INSTALLATION <br /> 1 ) Remove all liquids , debris and contaminants from the interior of the 8 -2000 UDC , <br /> 2 ) Remove the float and float arm assembly so it is clear of the float cup area . <br /> 3 ) Abrade and clean up the float cup area . Remove mineral buildup , dirt and any other debris . If rust <br /> is present , be cautious to not cut yourself, or bend any metal inwards . Use a wire bristle brush to rough <br /> up and smooth out rusty areas if present . <br /> 4) Do not bend any thin areas of metal outwards . Try to maintain the original shape of the float cup <br /> desipite its condition . <br /> 5) Clean the top edge of the float cup where it intersects the bottom floor of the 13-2000 UDC . <br /> 6) Keep the float cup area dry. If water is present under the cup , or it is flowing up into the <br /> containment sump , inject a water barrier polyurethane foam or filler in order to stop the flow of liquid . <br /> 7 ) When the float cup area is dry, use masking tape to block any holes to the exterior of the sump . <br /> 8 ) Ensure the float cup and interior of the sump is completely clean and absolutely dry prior to <br /> adhesive application , <br /> 9 ) Ensure that the exterior of the fiberglass float cup insert is clean of fingerprints , debris and <br /> contaminants .
