Depth soundings were used to evaluate the depth to the top of the sand pack and
bentonite seal to ensure that no bridging or caving occurred. Well heads were finished
with locking stovepipe-type monuments embedded in concrete pads and protected by
concrete-filled traffic posts (bollards). Diagrams summarizing well construction
materials and dimensions are included in Attachment 2.
3.2 Well Survey
Surveying of completed monitoring wells was conducted by the County. The survey of
the new wells was tied to the on-site benchmarks and CHSL's existing groundwater
monitoring network. Top of well casing and surrounding ground surface elevations was
surveyed to the nearest 0.01 foot. The horizontal alignment of the well was surveyed to
the nearest 0.1 foot. Survey data for each well are presented on the respective well
construction log in Attachment 2.
Well Completion ReportPage s S
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill ASSOCIATES
May 3,2012
