Upon reading the text
of the NOV, I realized the importance of showing a "non-detect" or"zero" iso-concentration line, or other
direct reference to the extent of plume, on the figures. We incorrectly assumed that the reader would
understand that the non-detect line was not far beyond the low concentration lines we did show.
I apologize for that oversight.
To rectify this, I have asked GeoLogic Associates to revise the figures to show the extent of the plume
(attached). A figure showing extent of PCE is also included. These figures conform very well to the
original figures, showing that the plume does not extend far from the original low-concentration lines.
Perhaps, after reviewing these revised figures, we can agree that we have sufficiently characterized the
extent of the plume to allow an Engineering Feasibility Study. I look forward to discussing this and other
important issues in our upcoming meeting.
Please call me with any questions at (209) 468-8504.
Sincerely,
W.
