Subbotnikova [EF <br />From: Ande4115n, Garrick <Garrick.Anderson@CBIFederai9LI'fvices.com> <br />Sent: Tuesday, August 20, 2013 11:09 PM <br />To: Michael Carroll; Joyesh Chandra; Isham, Julian <br />Cc: Anderson, Garrick; TGarver@greggdrilling.com; Natalia Subbotnikova [EH] <br />Subject: Status of Well GW -9 <br />Gentlemen, <br />As of the end of today, August 20th, well GW -9 had been drilled (to 50.5 ft), the <br />three individual 3/4 -inch, Schedule 80, PVC screens and blank PVC riser pipe have <br />been installed. <br />GW -9 backfill was completed as follows: <br />The lower screen was run from 43 to 49.5 ft. Gravel -pack was placed from 42.5 to 50 ft. <br />Hydrated bentonite seal was placed from 37.5 ft to 42.5 ft. Note: the bentonite seal was <br />adjusted downwards slightly (as agreed) , to extend into the top of the underlying clay interval. <br />Immediately below this formation clay is the lower screen that crosses a silt zone of moderately - <br />heavy iron oxidation staining. <br />The intermediate screen was run from 15.5 to 37.0 ft. Gravel -pack was placed from 15 to 37.5 ft. <br />Hydrated bentonite seal was placed from 10 to 15 ft. <br />The upper screen was run from 5.5 to 9.5 ft. Gravel -pack was placed from 5.0 to 10 ft. <br />Hydrated bentonite seal was placed from 5 ft all the way to surface. <br />* Note: Surface soil of a 5' x 5' x 1.5' area was dug out for the upcoming surface -completion <br />concrete work. The soil was dug out around the existing hydrated bentonite column of 8" diameter <br />(the continuation of the underlying backfill) which contains the three PVC riser -pipes that extend <br />above ground surface. <br />The plan for Aug. 21st is as follows: <br />0600 hrs - Garrick onsite <br />0700 hrs - Gregg Drilling crew onsite <br />0730 hrs - Gregg's air -knife crew to arrive onsite <br />0700 to 0730 hrs - Shell Pipeline Clearance crew to arrive <br />rs - San Joaquin County Inspector, Natalia Subbortnikova, to arrive <br />1130 to 1200 hrs - Joyesh to arrive onsite <br />First thing tomorrow morning, the air -knife crew is to air -knife two locations; the first will be on top <br />of Shell's pipeline to locate the pipeline's actual position; the second location to be air -knifed will be <br />at the GW -8 location.
