Natalia Subbotnikova i
From: Mic„ el Carroll <mcarroll@sjgov.org> 'w
Sent: Tuesday, October 01, 2013 11:56 AM
To: Robert McClellon [EH]
Cc: Joyesh Chandra; Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]; Jayna Rutz
Subject: Soil removal at Corral Hollow
Robert,
This confirms the phone message left earlier, that PSC is removing ash -containing soil from the stockpile at Corral
Hollow for disposal at Kettleman Hills. Loading operations are complete by noon, so if you wanted to observe, you
should do so in the morning. I stressed the importance of dust control to the operators.
I expect PSC will complete their portion of the stockpile (480 tons) by Friday Oct 4.
The remaining portion of the pile (estimated at 420 tons) will be removed under a change order with RJ Gordon, the
closure project contractor. I anticipate that RJ Gordon will start work no later than the 14th, assuming approval of
the contract change order now with Public Works Admin staff. I will let you know when the schedule for that work is
more firm.
Please call with any questions.
Best regards,
Mike Carroll
W.
