DBA Food-4-Less <br />Other Violations <br /> 3050 □ V □ R □ COSUnlisted Abandonment/Illegal Disposal/Unauthorized Treatment violation See below <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br />were: <br />1. A 55 gallon poly drum storing liquid laundry detergent and laundry fabric softener was missing the composition <br />(contents). <br />2. A 5 gallon container storing over the counter medicine was missing the name and address of generator and the <br />physical state. <br />3. An approximate 30 gallon poly drum storing Raid and hairspray aerosol cans was missing the physical state and <br />hazardous properties. <br />4. An approximate 30 gallon poly drum storing Fabuloso and Pinsol cleaners and a container of vinegar was missing <br />the composition (contents), physical state, hazardous properties, and accumulation start date. <br />5. A 5 gallon container storing broken light bulbs, a broken fluorescent tube, and three cell phones was missing the <br />physical state and hazardous properties. <br />6. An approximate 30 gallon poly drum storing Scrub Free bathroom cleaner with Oxiclean and a bottle of hydrogen <br />peroxide was incorrectly labeled as universal waste oxidizers, and was missing the words hazardous waste and the <br />physical state. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br />words “Hazardous Waste”, name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br />(contents), and accumulation start date. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Cary Kobayashi, Grocery Manager, <br />who corrected the hazardous waste container labels. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br />of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br />($152).
