All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#1 Pool Gates <br />OBSERVATIONS: There are two gates in the pool enclosure, one is locked shut and the other will not close naturally. For <br />this reason the pool must be closed. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self -latching devices. <br />Self -latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Upon arrival the life ring was floating in the pool, the rope was laying near the pool. This was corrected <br />on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rop6�Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid concentration is greater than 100 ppm. The operator must maintain a cyanuric acid <br />concentration below 100 ppm. Correct within 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm.
