Union Rd, Manteca
APN 204-030-07, SR0083496
MAILED
4• 2_0• 20/i
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated March 17, 2021 for the above noted location, and has the following comments
for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OVVTS) usage and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater for the following proposed
two-bedroom second unit dwelling.
Based on the information provided EHD can make the following findings:
According to the SSNL, the estimated nitrate loading from existing and proposed OVVTS usage is 18.4
mg/L as nitrate-nitrogen and the maximum contaminant level of 10 mg/L-N. EHD will require the
mitigation of nitrate-nitrogen through an engineered Onsite Wastewater Treatment System.
A Registered Civil Engineer shall submit complete engineering design plan to EHD for approval prior to
issuance of building permit. The engineer plan shall mitigate above-mentioned concern. Fee will be
based on the current fee schedule at time of payment.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Petralogix Engineering, Inc & Chris Trapp-4590 Vista Dr, Loomis CA 95650
1868 E.
