All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool address required at site. Correct today. <br />No keep gates closed on the gates. Provide today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operatorshall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have cleariy legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31206) <br />#4 safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life ring is not available in the pool area and does not have the rope attached. Provide in the pool <br />area. Close pool until the corrected and reinspection is conducted. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Hand holds on the ladder are loose. Repair by today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handmfls shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 31116) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#23 Pool Inlets and Outlets <br />OBSERVATIONS: No inlet fittings. Install within a week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Inlet fitting shall not protrude greater than 1 inch into the pool and shall be rounded and smooth. Wall inlets <br />shall be capable of adjusting the direction of flow. Each pool shall be provided with a main drain submerged suction outlet typically located <br />at the bottom of the pool.
