(AGE) has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Subsurface Investigation Report for the property at 2509-2511 North West Lane, Stockton, California. The work was performed as part of a due diligence effort to investigate areas of potential environmental concern at the site as part of a due diligence for a potential property transfer. The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1; major features on the site and boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2. INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND The site is located on North West Lane south of Alpine Avenue and immediately east of the intersection of the Southern Pacific railroad right of way, in a mostly commercial area of north Stockton, San Joaquin County (Figure 2). Based on a review of Environmental Data Resources, Inc. and assessor's records and an occupancy search, AGE determined that the site was developed in the early 1950s as a commercial property with three separate buildings; the address on the southern brick building was 2509, on the northern brick building was 2511, and on the west-central wood-frame building was 2509B. Building usages included: Buildings 2509 and 2509B ABC Cabinet Shop from1960 until 1993. Two different insulation corporations (California Insulation Corp. and Sacramento Insulation Corp.) from 1966 to 1972. R&W Plumbing during the late 1970s.
