. •
> > office recently.
>
> Just wanted to check in with you regarding the status of the
> closure of Metropolitan Stevedore Company's current monitoring
wells.
> We have not received any comments from your office or the San
Joaquin
> County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) on our sampling
and
> analysis report (SAR) for these wells.
>
> On behalf of Metropolitan Stevedore Company (MSC), I wanted to
let
> you know that MSC is now experiencing time delays and economic
losses
as
> the result of not being able to close these wells in place and
give
this
> leased parcel of land to its owner, Port of Stockton.
>
> MSC has expended a great deal of time, effort, cost, and has
> responded to the CVRWQCB and the SJCEHD request relative to the
sampling
> and analysis of these wells to date. In addition, MSC has gone
above
> and beyond the regulatory requirements to effectuate the CVRWQCB
and
the
> SJCEHD requests by sampling and analyzing ground water samples
from
> these wells. Hence, on behalf of MSC, I would respectfully
request
that
> a " no further actions" letter is issued to MSC ASAP so the
subject
> wells can be properly closed in place by filing a well destruction
> permit with the SJCEHD. So, the above mentioned leased land can
be
> given back to the land owner. PLEASE ADVISE.
>
>
>
Thank
> you
> Jay
>
>
> Jay R.
