more
than its fair share to answer these questions and for the record
respectfully requests again to close the subject wells in place. At
this
juncture, MSC believes that the pre-existing sulfate contamination
issue is
between the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and
the
land owner/RP. Basically, all 4 wells show a significant increase
in
sulfate since 1991. Whether this is due to MSC activities is
inconclusive without further investigation. If the Port is
satisfied
with this result and understands that as landowner, it retains any
future liability for the problem, I would be willing to allow the
wells
to be abandoned.
I will be travelling next week, but may be able to check voice mail
and
return calls on Mon. Nov. 10. Otherwise, I'll be back in the office
on
Nov. 17.
Wendy L.
