Ronald amd Mamie Grimes
1540 North San Joaquin
Stockton, CA 95204
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Grimes:
July 9, 1993
ENVIRONKNIAL HEALTH
PERMIT SERVICE
93 JUL 13 P11 2:16
As prior owners of the property at 4630-4648 E.
Waterloo Road, I am contacting you to request that you
assist us and the County's Environmental Health
Division in establishing a complete list of former
tenants of the property. Several months ago, we
discovered that the drinking well serving the property
was contaminated with halogenated volatile organic
compounds including a number of industrial solvents.
This resulted in a closing of the well and a broad
investigation by the County of our property and
surrounding properties in order to determine the
extent and source of these chemicals. Tests of
several surrounding wells have identified one well
which has similar contamination problems.
I have included a list of the buildings on the
property with blank spaces below for you to record the
tenants who occupied each during your ownership. I
realize this is an inconvenience and may require some
research on your part. However, it is important and
required by the County. Please complete the form and
return it directly to:
Mary Meays, REHS
Environmental Health Division
Public Health Services
San Joaquin County
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
In addition, the we would appreciate any other
information you may have concerning possible sources
of this contamination from surrounding sites and
businesses.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation
in this matter.
Si cere y yo rs,
an Marlowe
Marlowe Properties
P.O.
