California removed <br />Iwo 15.000-gallon. double-wall, fiberglass gasoline USTs, four dispensers, and associated <br />product piping Attachment A presents Cambrian standard procedures for tank, dispenser and <br />piping removal sampling, and excavation sampling <br />Personnel Present <br />Steven Shih, Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist, SJCEI-10 <br />Steve Dalton, Fire Inspector, Stockton Fire Department <br />Mark Pretax, Construction Foreman, Paradsso <br />Stewart Dalie, Senior Staff Scientist, Cambna <br />Ron Barone, Staff Geologist, Cambria <br />Sampling Dates: March 18, April 1, and April 4, 2005 <br />UST. Dispenser, and Product Piping Removal Observations- On Mardi 18,2005, Cambria field <br />staff observed no cracks or holes in the USTs during tank removal activates No staining or <br />odors were present in soil beneath the USTs Cambric field staff also observed the removal of <br />four dispensers and the associated product piping Staining and odors were observed under the <br />western, northern, and eastern dispensers and product piping <br />UST Excaeation Soil Sampling On March 18, 2005, Cambria field staff collected Mx soil <br />samples (TP- 1-19 through T1'-6-19) from the bottom of the usT excavation at approximately <br />19 feet below grade (lbg) Figure 3 shows sample locations Soil samples were collected from <br />the UST excavation using ark excavator The soil was removed from the excavator bucket, <br />packed into clean brass sample tubes, and tube ends were covered with Teflon tape and plastic <br />end caps Soil samples were labeled, placed into a cooler with ice, entered onto a chain of <br />custody record, and transported to a California-certified analytical laboratory <br />Dispenser and Product Aping Sampling On March 18, 2005, Cainbna field staff collected 10 <br />soil samples from beneath the former product dispensers (1)-I -S through 0-4-5) and piping (P-I-5 <br />through P-4-5, P-6-5, and P-7-5) from native soil at approximately 5 tbg (Figure 3) Soil samples <br />were collected using a backhoc an the manner described above <br />• <br />I. <br />2 tit (Ver 1 <br />Checked In <br />atil (Vert) <br />Checked In <br />Ati [Veril <br />Checked In <br />5.tt (Vert) <br />Checked In <br />Id tVer 1 ) <br />Checked In <br />7rif (Vert <br />Checked In <br />'Ker View Document: X12,000848(1 >j <br />.
