down-gradient City of Lodi Well CW-2, nor in sample from the adjacent City of Lodi site
investigation. The lack of on-site PCE impacted pound water suggests that the Cain Electrical site
may not be a contributor to the Lodi Ground Water Plume.
Although TCE is a city-wide problem as one of the contaminants of concern of the Lodi Ground
Water Plume, it was not detected in soil, soil-vapor and ground water samples collected during the
1997 Cain Electrical preliminary site assessment, nor was it detected in analytical data collected from
city right-of-way adjacent to the site by Henshaw in 2000. AGE and Cain Electrical Works have
concluded that the TCE detected in City of Lodi Well CW-2 adjacent to the site is likely from an
alternative source, not Cain Electrical Works.
As a result of the 1997 site investigation, AGE has identified an area in the northern portion of the
site as a location of PCE-solvent impact to subsurface soil. The solvent discharge location most
likely is located in the northeast corner of the site at the in-ground clarifier, and/or possibly the inside
working area of the motor and pump repair facility.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
